Hey muhammedalir, anyone can get heart disease. It is one of the most common illnesses in the UK. Some people are more likely to get it than others, due to something called risk factors. Risk factors are things that increase your risk of getting an illness. So eating lots of fatty or salty food increases your risk of heart disease. Or you could have an error (or mutation) in your DNA that means you are more likely to get heart disease. On there own, a single risk factor is unlikely to cause you to have heart disease, but they can add together. So someone that eats lots of junk food, has high blood pressure and has a damaged gene (a gene that is involved in normal heart function) is more likely to have heart disease than someone that just eats junk flood alone. I would be happy to explain more if you just leave me a comment. Thanks for a great question 🙂
