      This is very unlikely, while Tsunami waves can be very very destructive they rare and it is hard to predict where they will occur.

      Another problem is the wave length of a tsunami, normal ocean waves have wave lengths of tens of meters but a tsunami has a wave length of hundreds to thousands of meters. Wave power machines need to be a comparable size to the wave so a machine would need to be gigantic to absorb the energy in a tsunami.

      Wave energy needs to be harvested from waves which occur on most days at the deployment site – tsunami never provide this.
