• Question: what will happen to the buildings in 10 years will they last that long?

      Most buildings can last for at least 50 years. In Oxford, there are buildings that have been around for more than 500 years. It all depends on what you build them out of. The oldest buildings in Oxford are made out a stone, these can withstand a lot of punishment. Most of the new buildings are now made out of concrete, which is kind of ugly and won’t last as long.

      Although the worst building is the Biochemistry building opposite my building, it has huge pink and orange glass bits running around it…I hope that doesn’t last 50 years. So in 10 years, buildings will still last, unless someone decides to knock any of them down.
