Question: what kinds of things can biology do to make our lives better? thanks

Hi nmizdrak. Biology already does make our lives better 🙂 and in lots of ways. The study of biology, and chemistry at the same time, has allowed us to make medicines to treat diseases. It has allowed us to understand how the body works, and how to fix it when it stops working. It has shown us how to make things like aeroplanes and bridges better by understanding how things work in nature which we can then copy. For example by looking at how a bird’s wing works engineers were able to make aeroplanes with shorter wings. It is also starting to be used to help us make chemicals which get used everyday in foods and making materials like plastics.
