• Question: Hey Will! Have you always been set on following the University route, or have you had an alternative career path in the past? Thanks, Gab :-)

Hi gabyorr. It was nice to chat today. I suppose I have always been set on following the university route, at least until the end of my PhD – I don’t know what I’ll do after that yet.

There was a time though, just after I got my AS level results when I wasn’t so sure if it was for me. I hadn’t done so well in my exams and had a lot of catching up to do and re sits to take in order to get the grades I needed for uni. I wasn’t sure if I could cope with it and had a bit of a meltdown where I saw I counsellor for a few months. I got through it though and decided that if I gave up on trying to get to uni I had no idea what I’d do instead, which sort of made the decision for me and I’ve never looked back 🙂

It isn’t for everyone but the drop out rate is very low in my experience – only you can answer if it’s for you of not.

      Hope that helps 🙂
