• Question: have you ever had to give a presentation on a topic you are not particulary enthusiastic about? if so, how did you make it seem exciting and interactive? thanks, kieranta (kieran team awesome) ;)

Ha ha, I love it! Go go Team Awesome! Hey, I had better be a member of this team 😛

I’ve been pretty lucky, in that I’ve not had to give a presentation about anything that I really hate – probably because they know that they’d be able to see through my happy smile through to the resentment layer!

I do, however, get *really* nervous giving any kind of presentation to anyone, and that’s what I’ve disliked about giving presentations in the past, but somehow by just pretending to be confident, people actually believe it, and the more that I do it, the harder I pretend, and the less nervous I seem to feel, and my confidence increases. So, rather than shy away from opportunities to speak in public, I try and put myself up for more and more, in the hope that one day I’ll actually be confident, and not pretending 😛

Are you a naturally confident speaker, or are you a faker like me?!
