  There are model results (not predictions – but hindcasts) of the tsunami wave from NOAA in the US http://nctr.pmel.noaa.gov/honshu20110311/
  
  We are interested in predicting the propagation of a tsunami across the land but we will need a large computer (with more than 200 processors) and a new calculation tool. My Japanese friend Dr Watanabe from Hokkaido hopes to get funding from the Japanese government to develop this model, and I’ll help with the computer science aspects.
