• Question: Does your heart know when to stop, before you die? Or does it just happen?

      Heya, it depends on how you die. If you die from a heart attack you heart will stop because it can’t get oxygen. This will stop the blood flowing around your body and you will die. Most of the time just before you die, your heart will start to slow down and will eventually stop. This is why, when doctors check to see if someone is alive they look or feel for a pulse. The pulse is the flow of blood through your blood vessels, and you can feel the heart pumping it. If you put two figures up against your neck, you might be able to feel the lub dub of your heart beat 🙂
