      Hi Taku!

We are evolving as I type this, but the rate is very slow, and would only be noticed by someone that compared a human from one era to another millions of years earlier or later, and noted the changes.

Humans are able to evolve so that we can see the changes though. People that live at high altitudes, up in the mountains where there is less oxygen in the air as the air is thinner, they are different to humans that have always lived closer to sea level. They need to make the most of the little oxygen that they have in the air up in the mountains, and so they have more red blood cells in their blood. Red blood cells are the cells that pick up frsh oxygen from our lungs when we breathe in, so because they need to make the most of the little oxygen that there is up there, by increasing the number of red blood cells, you can pick up more oxygen through the lungs, making use of a higher percentage of the oxygen that is in the air.

Does that make sense? Let me know if you would like more examples!
