I would love to have a house on the moon. At the moment there are only a few man made things on the moon. Such as the moon car left from the Apollo missions or parts of the space craft. The American’s and Chinese are hoping to go back to the moon in the next 10 years. Hopefully this will mean that there will be a base on the moon in the next 20 years, but probably not. So at the moment, we can’t build a house on the moon. Thanks
currently scientists are assuming that people can live on the moon ungerdround … this is because there is no atmosphere or air in the moon and the tempreture is very high.the other reason why there could be less chance for humans living there is because one side of the moon is never visible from the Earth, this is because the moon spins once on its axis in precisely the same amount of time it takes to revolve around the Earth.
That’s a very good point Sodiumpolyacrylate, you would only be able to live on the half of the moon, the light side and this would experience large temperature changes, from well below zero to very high, due to direct sunlight. Unlike the earth, the surface of the moon would be unprotected from damaging cosmic rays and xrays because of it’s lack of atmosphere. Scientists believe that there are large amounts of water stored in the moon rocks, not enough to make a river, but enough that could be isolated to create energy from hydrogen, although I don’t really know anything about that and splitting water is Suze’s area of work! This would mean that you could remove the water from the rocks and power a base or a home underground. Thanks
